SCUBA DIVING IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN
Small Groups · Gear Included · Eco-Conscious · Mindful Diving
Diving Trips in the Mexican Caribbean
Playa del Carmen is an incredible place to dive. Just offshore, the Caribbean offers colorful reefs, clear tropical water, fascinating marine life, and a variety of dive sites for different experience levels. I offer guided fun dives for certified divers who want to explore the area safely, mindfully, and without rushing through the experience.
Small-group diving with a little more intention.
| Small groups No giant groups or feeling like another number on the boat. Keeping groups small gives us more flexibility underwater and more time to actually notice what’s around us. | Mindful diving We’ll slow things down, pay attention to our breathing and buoyancy, and give ourselves space to actually experience the reef rather than simply checking off a dive site. |
| Ocean-conscious Diving comes with a responsibility to the ecosystems we visit. We practice responsible diving, respect marine life, and incorporate conservation into the experience whenever possible. | Everything you need Gear and snacks are included, so you can spend less time worrying about logistics and more time enjoying the water. |
Explore Playa del Carmen and the surrounding Caribbean reefs through relaxed, small-group dives that put safety, mindfulness, marine life, and conservation at the center of the experience.

Why dive this way?
I want you to actually experience the dive.
There are plenty of places where you can show up, jump in, follow a guide around a reef, and climb back onto the boat. On those dives, you feel like just another number who doesn’t really experience much of the reef.
I want these dives to feel a little different.
We pay attention to our breathing. We practice good buoyancy. We give marine life space. We notice the small things. We talk about what we’re seeing. And we take a moment to appreciate the fact that we’re guests in an underwater ecosystem.
The goal isn’t to see the most. It’s to experience more of what you see.
What does a dive day look like?
01 — Meet up
We’ll meet at our designated meeting point and get settled with your gear.
02 — Briefing
We’ll talk through the dive site, conditions, marine life, safety considerations, and anything you want to know before getting in.
03 — Dive
Relax, breathe, look around, and enjoy the reef. I’ll be paying attention to the little things too.
04 — Surface interval
Snacks, hydration, conversation, and a chance to talk about what we saw.
05 — Dive again
Back underwater for another chance to explore.
06 — Debrief
We’ll wrap up the day, answer questions, and hopefully leave you with something new to appreciate about the ocean.
Your guide matters.
I’m Marina — a PADI scuba instructor, underwater mindfulness instructor, and lifelong movement nerd who believes diving should be both safe and fun, while still leaving room for curiosity and connection.
I’ve worked as an instructor in Mexico, the Caribbean, and Southeast Asia, and I created my own Underwater Meditation & Mindfulness specialty because I wanted to explore a question I kept coming back to:
What happens when we stop treating diving as something to accomplish and start treating it as something to experience?
